Key Responsiblities
Visitor Experience Assistants are at the heart of the visitor journey at Japan House London, working in public spaces to create a welcoming, engaging and inclusive environment. The role is people-focused, varied and collaborative, with each day shaped by the needs of visitors and the programme on offer.
As a Visitor Experience Assistant you will be:
Welcoming and engaging visitors, offering clear information and encouragement to explore exhibitions and activities
Providing a high standard of front-of-house service through attentive, friendly and informed interaction
Supporting events, talks, school visits and family activities
Managing visitor flow and responding confidently to a wide range of needs
Contributing to a safe, secure and well-run public environment
Working closely with colleagues across teams to deliver an excellent overall visitor experience
This role suits someone who has relevant experience, enjoys working with the public, values cultural exchange, and takes pride in delivering hospitality based on omotenashi principles (thoughtfulness, attention to detail, respect, and warmth).
